Friday, October 12th, 2007O ex-vice-presidente americano Al Gore afirmou nesta sexta-feira que a mudança climática é uma “emergência planetária” e prometeu usar seu Prêmio Nobel da Paz para criar consciência sobre o tema. “É uma verdadeira emergência planetária e devemos responder rapidamente”, disse Al Gore em breve declaração à imprensa nos escritórios da Aliança para a Proteção do Clima.

Gore’s 20-room home and pool house devoured nearly 221,000 kilowatt-hours in 2006, more than 20 times the national average of 10,656 kilowatt-hours. In total, Gore paid nearly $30,000 in combined electricity and natural gas bills for his Nashville estate in 2006.
